Baby Erin Christen

Just had to post a few sneak peaks at this cutie. 2 months old when I finally got a chance to shoot some pictures of her. Did not want to sleep anywhere but on mommy...but who wouldn't really? Life is tough, so you gotta take the pampering while you can get away with it!

The Latest

Just to give you a quick update. Things have been crazy around here with my son's entrance into Kindergarten, as well as with my involvement in Help-Portrait Abbotsford and Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. Help-Portrait is promising to be a great event and I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out, despite the many hours Laura Henderson (Filmless Photo)and I have put into planning it. NILMDTS is something I have been wanting to be a part of for a long time, and only found it this summer. Already having been on a session, I was touched and thought "Why don't all photographers want to do this?" especially when I have had to say no to several calls since then. But I know this is not for everyone, and I wish I could just volunteer full time for stuff like this...

Probably will not be updating this until well after Christmas...

A Much Needed Break

Just to let you know that I am currently taking a break from photographing weddings. Since I had a baby last August, I am on maternity leave and have found weddings to be just to huge a workload for my current situation. I am still doing family photos, portraits, maternity, babies, kids, and some commercial shooting. Hopefully I will ba making some much needed changes to my website and even this blog. So stay tuned in the following year for a few new things at Beyond Exposure Photography!

Elijah is One Month Old!

Finally got to have a few minutes in the studio with my sister Jacenta and her little cutie Elijah along with papa Michael. He actually had his eyes open for the most part, so no sleeping baby shots this time, and he had a great time staring at the lights. At least one of my kids has a cousin the same age!

Welcome Baby Tuzo Musonge

This has been a long time coming, have had many other things on my plate, so the pictures took a backseat. But, in any event, here they are. Congratulations to Charles and Juliette again! And thank you so much for allowing me to support you as a Doula - it was a privilege!

Vic and Rebecca

Finally back to posting again after a long and very crazy year! Have yet to post a few highlights from last year, but for now hopefully an engagement session will do. Managed to land at city hall when the flowers were all out (at least the ones on the trees) and it was a beautiful day. Vic and Rebecca are a lot of fun and they have the "unfortunate" luck of knowing me personally outside of the photos. Guess that makes the jokes funnier??? I shot this engagement session with a great photographer friend of mine - Anita Chapman from Perfect Moments Photography - as she is my backup should something unexpected happen to me (such as having a baby early). Never can be too careful with babies! You can have a browse on her blog to see a few images from her point of view. As an aside, she is far better at keeping up her posts than I am!

At any rate, I normally don't post so many of my good shots - like to leave a surprise or two for my clients to see in their proofs - but I must admit that I was just too tempted this time because the two of you were far too photogenic. Good luck on your wedding day Vic and Rebecca!
